Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rutur mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Rutur Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing or using the Rutur app or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Rutur account and book rides. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. Rutur is not available to individuals whose accounts have been suspended or terminated.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. You may not transfer your account to another person. Rutur reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. The Rutur service
Rutur is a technology platform that connects riders with independent driver partners. Rutur does not employ drivers. Drivers are independent contractors and not agents or employees of Rutur Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Rutur does not provide transportation services directly. The quality and safety of each ride is governed by our Driver Code of Conduct and the verification standards described on our Safety page.
5. Fares and payment
Fares are calculated and displayed to you before you confirm a booking. The displayed fare is the amount you will pay unless the trip is materially different from what was quoted (e.g., significantly longer route at your request). We accept UPI, debit/credit cards, in-app wallet and cash. For card and UPI payments, charges are processed at the end of the trip. Rutur may charge a cancellation fee if you cancel after the driver has accepted your booking and is already en route.
6. Rider conduct
You agree to use the Rutur service only for lawful purposes and to treat driver partners with respect. You must not: carry or transport illegal items; engage in harassment, abuse, threatening or discriminatory behaviour toward drivers; smoke or consume alcohol in vehicles; damage vehicles; or provide false information to Rutur or driver partners. Violations may result in permanent account termination.
7. Cancellations and no-shows
You may cancel a booked ride free of charge within two minutes of booking. After that window, or once the driver has been dispatched, a cancellation fee may apply. If you do not show up at the pickup location within 5 minutes of the driver's arrival, the booking may be cancelled and a no-show fee charged. Fees are disclosed in the app at the time of cancellation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rutur's liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the ride that gave rise to the claim. Rutur is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Rutur platform — including the brand, logos, app interface, software and documentation — is the property of Rutur Technologies Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written consent. User-submitted content (ratings, reviews, photos) remains yours, but you grant Rutur a royalty-free licence to display and use it on the platform.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal proceedings.
